Ice Cube Number Cubes

Happy New Year Everyone! It has been so nice to be able to stay in my pajamas as long as I want to during  the break.

The other day (when I actually got dressed to go out), I stopped in a dollar store and noticed the plastic ice cubes and thought "Aha!" I can use those babies for silent number cubes. Then, I came across Glitter Meets Glue Designs and her awesome numbers and symbols set and created labels for the cubes. These are so quiet when rolled, a great size, and with the addition of the math symbols that are included in the set, the students can practice fact families as well as using them for learning center games. I simply created a template in Publisher using the gridlines and drawing of shapes. Then, I chose the fill shape with picture option to add the numbers and symbols. You could also use premade labels, stickers, or Mod Podge.

Happy New Year!

Love this idea!! I like the idea of quiet cubes - and they look like they're a really nice size too. I have the same clip art :) I love Glitter meets Glue!
